Polkadot v0.9.40 has been released with MEDIUM upgrade priority.

Referendum 108, to fix the genesis registration for Manta, is up for vote, but it has already been superseded by Referendum 110. The proposing team has thus asked the community to vote NAY on it.
Referendum 111, adjusting nomination parameters in Polkadot, has passed and executed. As a result, minimum nomination pool creation bond has increased to 500 DOT, size required to directly nominate has increased to 250 DOT, maximum number of pools is now 256, and fast-unstaking is now enabled.
Note that there are several important restrictions in using fast-unstake. For details, see here.
Motion 371, funding various improvements to Sub.id, did not reach majority.
Motion 372, funding the development of an open-source web API system to ‘bridge’ enterprise IT and the Polkadot blockchain ecosystem, did not reach majority.
Motion 373, funding housing development for victims of the Turkish-Syria earthquake, did not reach majority.
Motion 374, funding the ops and maintenance of Pinknode last quarter of 2022, did not reach majority: some councilors left feedback on the post.
Motion 375, retroactively funding Acala for Chopsticks, a testing client that allows 1-step recreation of Substrate-based networks, is under consideration
Motion 376, to fund the organisational costs of Polkadot @ ETH Denver 2023, is under consideration.

Referendum 129, removing an old preimage from storage, has passed and executed.
Referendum 130, opening a new batch of HRMP channels for Amplitude, MangataX, Imbue, Tinkernet, and GM Parachain, was approved.
Referendum 132, funding Elixir Docs to help onboard Web2 developers to Polkadot, was rejected.
Referendum 134, proposing to upgrade the Relay Chain to runtime 9381 and Statemine and Bridge Hub to runtime 9382, was approved and executed.
The original proposer of Referendum 140, seeking to open an HRMP channel between GM Parachain and MangataX, has asked for people to vote NAY on it.
Small Spender - for proposals requesting less than 333.33 KSM
Referendum 123, to fund the creation of a ParaSpell XCM SDK & XCM UI Spending Bounty, was approved.
Referendum 126, to fund a marketing initiative centered around a papercraft model of the Kusama logo, was approved.
Medium Spender - for proposals requesting less than 3,333.33 KSM
Referendum 125, assigning curators for Bounty 20, was approved.
Referendum 131, supporting a fiat onramp support Bounty, has passed. As a result, Referendum 141, selecting a Curator for this Bounty program, is now being voted on.
Referendum 133, covering the maintenance and Polkadot integration costs of web3alert.io for 12 months, is live.
Referendum 135, funding Substrate in Bits, a series of in-depth technical content focused on addressing the pain points of developers building with Substrate, is live.
Big Spender - for proposals requesting less than 33,333.33 KSM
Referendum 124, to fund PolkaGate 2nd milestone, was approved.

Astar`s latest update jumpstarts Astar’s WASM environment with smart contract developments like minting ink NFTs.
