Polkadot Updates
🔴 ⭕️ Relay Chain
total supply - ~1.28b DOT | staking - 46% | parachains & crowdloans - 10%
Aleph Zero announced that they won a parachain lease (after bidding as an anonymous parathread).
🔴 🏛 Governance
Referendum 98, proposing to update the parathread ID in the genesis state WASM of Bittensor, is passing with 99% in favor.
Referendum 100, proposing to enable pre-checking for runtime upgrades on parachains, passed.
Referendum 101, to approve the WASM smart contracts bounty (Bounty #19), is currently passing unanimously with 24 days left to vote.
Motion 334, to fund the development of SubWallet Mobile App, was passed and executed.
Motion 335, to upgrade Polkadot to v9360, was passed. The proposal will be up for a vote by the community.
Motion 336, to fund Blockchain Training Alliance’s Substrate Training Course, is under consideration.
Motion 337, to fund Rust Syndicate’s development of Uptest (a tool for testing Pallet functionality before and after runtime upgrades), is under consideration for a second time.
Motion 338, to reimburse costs of Sub0 conference organised by a coalition of teams in the representation of the entire Polkadot ecosystem, has passed the council vote.
Motion 339, to enable the execution of Nomination Pools Incentives, is under consideration.
RMRK has posted on Polkassembly seeking feedback for a potential Treasury Proposal for developing rmrk-substrate-pallets.
Kusama Updates ₑₓₚₑcₜ cₕₐₒₛ

Following the passing of Referendum 74, Kusama has upgraded to Runtime 9370.
Moonriver won the most recent parachain lease auction.
🦅 🏛 Governance
On Kusama, OpenGov referenda are now preferable unless there is a specific reason not to propose via OpenGov.
OpenGov Referendum 81, scheduling 2 auctions to replace the missing auctions supposed to be scheduled by Ref 72, is passing.
OpenGov Referendum 80, proposing to add a missing auction meant to be scheduled by Referendum 72, has been confirmed.
OpenGov Referendum 85, fixing the Kusama auction schedule, was passed and executed.
OpenGov Referendum 86, to free up KSM that was locked during an earlier migration, is now up for vote.
Referendum 89, to cancel Referendum 81: to then be replaced by the new auction schedule proposal, is passing. The cancellation was meant to happen with Referendum 85 but during execution a bug was discovered.
Referendum 261, proposed without any contextual information, failed.

Acala announced the launch of Wormhole on Acala EVM+.
Astar and Equilibrium have opened HRMP channels between the networks.
Astar announced a Web3 hackathon sponsored by Toyota.

Efinity announced the new Fuel Tank function allowing users to interact and use Efinity without paying transaction fees.
Integritee published AI & Blockchain: The Combo of the Future.
InvArch announced a new token economy.
KILT introduced a way to get a KILT DID (decentralized identifier) without using cryptocurrency. It is available for both individuals & enterprises.
Manta published Our Mission to Bring Privacy to the Polkadot Ecosystem, explaining why Polkadot is the perfect platform for building a Web3 privacy hub.
Nodle announced the Red Envelope Experience, a new digital experience that enables users to digitize and streamline the giving process.
OriginTrail shared an in-depth overview of how global supply chains can increase sustainability with Origin Trail's Decentralized Knowledge Graph.
Unique announced the release of the staking program for Quartz, Unique’s parachain on Kusama.
