Polkadot Updates
🔴 ⭕️ Relay Chain
total supply - ~1.27b DOT | staking - 45.9% | parachains & crowdloans - 11%
Polkadot v0.9.33 has been released with MEDIUM upgrade priority.
Frequency won the 33rd parachain auction.
🔴 🏛 Governance
Referendum 85, proposing to update the Kapex parachain runtime code, is currently passing with almost 100% in favor.
Referendum 86, proposing an increase in the (non-pool) nomination minimum of 100 DOT, is passing with 99% in favor.
Referendum 87, upgrading the Statemint runtime to v9320, has passed and executed. This was initially passed as Motion 300.
Referendum 88, approving a funding proposal for Snowbridge, a trustless Polkadot-Ethereum bridge, is currently passing unanimously. This was initially passed as Motion 298.
Motion 296 by OpenZeppelin, to cover the review and audit the current design of Ink! smart contract language together with Substrate’s smart contracts pallet, was passed and executed.
Motion 297, to fund the continuous operation and maintenance of PolkaWorld, was passed and executed.
Motion 299, to fund the operation and maintenance of Pinknode’s public infrastructure for Polkadot, was passed and executed.
Motion 301, to fund the DotLeap newsletter, was passed and executed.
Motion 302, to fund the 2022 Polkadot Winter Hackathon by Oneblock in China, is under consideration.

Referendum 244 was passed and executed, upgrading the Kusama relay chain to v9320, and activating OpenGov (aka Gov2), which will run concurrently with Gov1 for the time being.
Referendum 246, proposing to swap parachain ID 2024 to 2226 for Genshiro, was passed and executed.
Referendum 247, proposing to upgrade the Statemine runtime to v9320, has passed.
Referendum 248, proposing to open an HRMP channel between Picasso and Statemine, has passed.
Referendum 249, proposing to fund development of Kagome, a C++ implementation of the Polkadot Host, was passed despite Soramitsu/Nova ‘controversy’.
Referendum 250, seeking to migrate several preimages from the legacy Democracy system, has passed.
Referendum 251, seeking a parachain slot swap for the Zeitgeist parachain, is passing with 99% in favor and 4 days left to vote.
Motion 582, to fix the parachain auctions schedule following some misconfiguration caused by the new OpenGov update, is under consideration.

Astar has opened a new HRMP connection with Phala.

Bit.Country has released a new version of Pioneer with some notable updates like anti-snipe functionality, EVM precompiles, and more.
Bit.Country announced the first iteration of the social login implemented in its Kaosland campaign. Now it's possible to create a non-custodial wallet that will be associated with your Twitter account.
Equilibrium published a roadmap update.
HydraDX published Road to Omnipool and In Code We Trust in preparation for the launch of its Omnipool–a single well of liquidity for all tokens.
Interlay announced plans to become a BTC DeFi Hub, and presented a new project roadmap until Q2 2023.
InvArch published The INV4 Protocol: The Core of the Creator Economy.
Moonbeam announced an integration with Tenderly, an all-in-one Web3 development platform.
Moonbeam announced a new XCM connection between Moonriver and Robonomics.
Moonbeam published Cross-Chain Connected Contracts with Wormhole’s Relayer Engine and Cross-Chain Connected Contracts with LayerZero.
Manta announced that its trusted setup contributions phase is live and already has more than 13,000 registrants from over 177 countries. This makes it the largest trusted setup in Zero Knowledge Proofs (ZKP) history.
Mangata announced the listing of Bifrost tokens BNC, vMOVR, vKSM, and vsKSM.
Phala was introduced by Intel as a Software Guard Extensions blockchain use case.
Phala published a new weekly update.
Pendulum announced a new partnership with Acurast.
Picasso was officially launched.
RMRK tagged a new release of rmrk-pallets, moving it closer to production.
SubWallet completed the 2nd milestone of the Substrate Builders Program with the SubWallet beta mobile app officially released.
t3rn announced that it has raised $6.5M in a strategic funding round.
Turing posted a demo video of its auto-compound product and updated its GitHub with the instructions for running Turing with XCM feature enabled.
