Polkadot Updates
🔴 ⭕️ Relay Chain
total supply - ~1.25b DOT | staking - 51% | parachains & crowdloans - 11%
Crust won the most recent parachain slot auction.
🔴 🏛 Governance
Referendum 77, proposing to approve a Treasury Proposal to fund development of Gossamer, a Polkadot Host implementation written in Go, is passing.
Referendum 78, proposing to set up initial configuration for Polkadot nomination pools, is currently passing.
Referendum 80, seeking sufficiency for USDT on Statemint, is currently passing.
Referendum 81, to on-board Collectives as a common-good parachain, is passing.
Referendum 82, fixing Referendum 74 which failed to execute properly, opening several Statemint HRMP channels along with a new channel to Bifrost, is passing.
Motion 284 by OnFinality aiming to cover maintenance costs on their high-performance public infrastructure in Q3 2022 for Polkadot, Statemint and Westend, is currently up for a vote.
A proposal is up for discussion on how to incentivise the creation of initial high-quality Nomination Pools using tipping processes.

Referendum 238, proposing to set the minimum validator commission to 8.5%, did not pass. Nonetheless, the discussion resumed on this post, including alternatives to solve the issues some operators are facing when validating on Kusama Network.
Referendum 239, proposing to upgrade the Kusama runtime to v9300, was passed.
Referendum 240, proposing to open an HRMP channel between Statemine and Picasso, is currently failing w/ 3 days left to vote. It has been noted that the proposal would not work if executed.
Motion 562, to set up a decentralized DAO merchandise store on Kusama, has passed the Council vote.
A proposal from the Encointer team aims to extend the common good chain lease for 48 weeks to further work on their roadmap.
